Can Help You

 

Accurate information  Making important decisions is hard and you need to have all the facts and understand all of your options.  We want to make sure you have information you can trust.

 

Confidential Support  You are not alone.  This is a very important time in your life.  You deserve the care and support provided by our trained volunteers.  We can help you find the resources to create positive solutions in a gentle, caring setting.

 

Community Referrals  Sometimes knowing where to go for help is half the battle.  We can direct you to agencies within your own community, if you have medical, housing, or legal needs, or are considering adoption.

 

Free Pregnancy Testing  Quality, accurate, self-administered tests are available at the Center.

 

Post Abortion Support  If you or someone you know is suffering from the aftermath of an abortion, there is hope.  The New Life Pregnancy Resource Center offers spiritual reconciliation, psychological healing and hope for both women and men struggling with the pain and loss caused by abortion.

 

Infant and Maternity Items  Our Center is equipped with both new and used maternity and baby clothing, assorted baby furniture, blankets, wipes, diapers, and other necessities you need to care for you child.  Used baby items are available on an "as needed" basis.  New items can be earned by participating in either our Baby Bucks or CrossOver Incentive Programs.

 

No income requirements to participate in the

programs and services New Life provides.

Baby Bucks Program 

      The Baby Bucks Program is an incentive based program that helps you and our center learn.  This program is meant to reward you for learning and we learn how better to serve you.  You will be able to rack up baby bucks in exchange for new baby items. 

 

      After viewing  or reading materials you will receive a few questions to answer.  When the task is completed you will be awarded the corresponding points "baby bucks".  Your points can be used immediately or banked for future needs.   

 

 

CrossOver Program

     The CrossOver Program is an incentive based support group for single moms up to the age of 25 having their first baby or other young moms at the discretion of our Executive Director.  Points are earned for attending meetings and other various tasks. 

 

     These points are banked in exchange for new baby items.  CrossOver meets bi-weekly for 2-hour to explore topics focusing on pregnancy, newborn babies, and relationships.  Additionally, the program director works individually with participants providing support and encouragement.  She assists with goals setting, planning for the future, and helps network any additonal community resources available to meet personal needs.

 

Preparing For Parenthood Program

Preparing For Parenthood Program will help you become ready for your journey of motherhood from pregnancy to infantacy.  We invite you to come and experience the joy of parenthoond.  Parenthood isn't always easy, but there will be many rewards.

Parenting Program 

     This program is comprised of a series of comprehensive parenting classes.  The program has five specific componets:  prenatal development, birth to 3 years , early childhood (ages 3-6), middle childhood (ages 6-12), and adolesence (ages 12-20). 

 

     These components are divided into two parts: 

  1.  Addressing the brain, personality, social and physical development of children.                 
  2.  Cultural expectations, questions and problem solving, disciplince, and Life Mapping (goals values, and adventures). 

Parents may take the classes corresponding to the ages of their children or all of the classes.

 

     These classes help parents understand, appreciate, and assist their children's mind, body, personality and social development.  It assist parents to fully understand the challenges and dangers that face their children with influences such as drugs, sex, alcohol and peer pressure. 

 

     It teaches parents effective communication and discipline.  Finally, the program assists parents in bulding a family plan to determine the values they wish to instill in their children and goals for the family as they prepare for the future. Upon completion of this program points will be awarded for either the Baby Bucks or CrossOver Programs.

 

 

Life Skills Program

     Our Life Skills Program covers a variety of topics including: sex and relationships, character, commitment, money management, budgeting, checking accounts, credit, savings, apartment renting, roommates (conflict resolution & house cleaning), time management, buying a car, insurance, cooking, shopping and menu planning.   Upon completion of this program points will be awarded for either the Baby Bucks or CrossOver Programs.

 

 

 

Peer Advising

     Peer Advising provides an individual with care, encouragement, and support. If you are experiencing difficulties and need to talk, our Peer Advisor will answer questions concerning your pregnancy or child related issues.

 

 

Pastoral Support

     We have licenced and ordained pastoral available to provides you with care, encouragement and support from a Biblical perspective.  Our pastoral staff will work with you to heal from past hurts or relationships.  Other topics we discuss are premarital and marital crisis', divorce recovery, second virginity and post abortion recovery.

 

     We don't support one denomination over another, but we will help you to find a church that fits your needs, wants, and desires.  Finding Christ-centered support doesn't have to be difficult.
